Ji-Tae Elite Taekwondo

Welcome to Ji Tae elite Taekwondo club. We are a traditional world taekwondo federation (WTF) martial arts club. We have several Dojangs (training halls) based in and around Yorkshire. Our clubs cheif instructor is Master Terry Frost. Master Frost is a 6th Dan black belt with over 50 years experience in the art and sits on the panel of black belt examiners at the world taekwondo association's (WTA) head quarters.

Taekwondo is a fast growing sport and is great for everyone from 5yrs of age upto 70 years plus. Infact traditional taekwondo is one of the few sports that can be correctly done well into an artist senior years. For our younger students taekwondo is the perfect sport to learn confidence and self co-ordination, they also learn respect and self discipline, which are vital life skills.

Taekwondo hails from the oriental country of South Korea and  loosley translated taekwondo means "foot" "fist" "way" or "the way of the fist and foot".

Ji-Tae Elite Taekwondo are part of the World Taekwondo Association (W.T.A) who are affiliated to Taekwondo's main body; British Taekwondo.

Master Gary Sykes is the president of the W.T.A and Master Frost is a member of the black belt panel at all W.T.A black belt gradings

Congratulations to our newly promoted Dan grades.

At the World Taekwondo Associations latest national Dan grading (07/04/2019) history was made for the first time at Ji tae Elite Taekwondo. Master Frost entered two candidates for 3rd Dan and three candidates to grade to 4th Dan Master grade! and in true Ji tae form all our candidates were successful, well prepared and gave everything they had to earn their stripes.

Promoted to 4th Dan; Master Jason Howard, Master Chris Harker and Master Edward Larrington.

Promoted to 3rd Dan; Michael Cox and Sam Marshall.

The blackbelt grading introduced the use of body armor and padwork sparring exercises as well as the usual self defence sparring, kicking exercises and traditional poomsae. Our five candidates have trained long and hard over the six months to prepare for the grading and the new introductions. The turn out of support for the fab five was also unparalleled, along with Master Frost was Masters Palmer, Arundale, Watson and Temple plus several senior and junior blackbelts and a number of Kup grades. The day was truly exciting, rewarding and historic. congratulations to them all.

A great session with Master Frost last night, it's amazing how much he can fit into an hour and a half - warm-up, drills, board breaking, pad work, one-step and body armour sparring! Everyone left tired but happy.
